Frequently asked questions
What is Selah (see-lah)?
Selah is a Hebrew word found in the Bible—most often in Psalms and also in Habakkuk. While its exact meaning is debated, many believe it signals a sacred pause: a moment to stop, reflect, and let truth sink in. At Selah, we embrace it as an invitation to breathe, reset, and make space for soul-aligned growth.
What is Soul Coaching?
Soul coaching is a heart-centered approach to personal growth that goes deeper than surface goals. It helps you reconnect with your true self—your values, purpose, and inner wisdom—so you can live with more clarity, peace, and alignment.
It's not just about doing more, but about becoming who you were created to be.
What is the difference between Soul Coaching & Therapy?
Soul coaching is future-focused and growth-oriented. It’s about helping you align with your purpose, values, and vision through guided reflection and action. Therapy, on the other hand, often focuses on healing emotional wounds, processing trauma, or managing mental health concerns.
While therapy helps you heal the past, soul coaching helps you move forward with clarity, intention, and spiritual insight. It’s best for emotionally healthy individuals ready to grow, not those needing clinical care.
Do I have to be religious to work with you?
You don’t have to be a Christian to work with me. My coaching is deeply rooted in biblical truth because I believe that true healing and restoration comes through Jesus Christ. While I don’t change the spiritual foundation of my approach, I hold space with love and respect for anyone who feels led to this kind of soul-centered work.
Are you certified and trained?
Yes, I became a certified life coach in 2021. Since then, I’ve offered one-on-one coaching and lay counseling for both youth and adults in a variety of settings. I’m also currently completing my master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling to expand my services and better support clients with therapeutic needs in the future.
How do I know if coaching is right for me?
If you're feeling stuck, seeking clarity, or ready to grow in a specific area of life—coaching might be a great fit. It’s especially helpful if you're looking for guidance, encouragement, and accountability in a supportive environment.
